Vertical Shaft Impactors
As the country grows, the consumption of concrete is also expected to grow. Cement concrete plays an important role for the construction of roads, buildings, dams, canals, airports, flyovers and the like. Concrete is an artificial stone resulting from hardening of rationally chosen mixture of binding materials, water and aggregates like sand and crushed stone or gravel.
- Increase density of concrete.
- Reduce cement consumption.
- Using crush sand is more cohesive.
- Uniform and fine grading.
- Particle shape is better and more cubicular.
- Perform better than natural sands.
- Less expensive than natural sands.
- Environmentally friendly.
Since ages, almost all the developed and advanced countries have started using manufactured sand for their infrastructure developments. In India, 90 per cent of the Pune-Mumbai Expressway was built using artificial manufactured sand.
The manufacturing of sand involves three stages namely: centrally aggregate feeding by feed tube in Vertical Shaft Impactor (VSI), crushing by rotor rotating at high rpm on the principle of kinetic force and screening for varieties of sand say crush sand (4.75 mm), Metal No 1 (10 mm), Metal No 2 (20 mm) etc. For high quality manufactured sand, we need to use VSIs. Manufactured sand using VSIs is more cubical and angular in shape unlike manufactured sand by any types of crushers, where the product will be flaky and have a higher percentage of dust.
IS code 383-1970 of BIS standard has defined more elaborately the gradation of sand in four zones. There are testing sieves consists of >5 mm (4.75 mm), 2.36 mm, 1.1183 mm, 600 microns, 300 microns, 150 microns, etc.
Shreeji Foundry & Engineering Works offers VSI under the brand name Jishnu (Victory) for the production of manufactured sand. VSI is the latest, more economical technology in use for the production of manufactured sand. VSI crushers can also be used for extremely abrasive minerals like silica sand, cement, glass, quartz, limestone, etc.
- Simple plant design.
- Lower operating cost.
- Lower wear cost.
- Reduce materials recycles.
- High abrasive crushing spares.
- Compliant with dust, pollution, noise and safety regulations.
- Varieties of sand available for RMC plants, mason sands, plastering sand, etc.
Keeping in mind the various parameters, we have set the pace for tomorrow, and have introduced in the market a newly designed VSI crusher with brand name Jishnu.
