Tech-Xage 2014
Living up to its commitment of innovation Ammann Apollo organised an in house exhibition - Tech-Xage 2014 at its facility in Ditasan near Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
A first of its kind in India, Ammann Apollo India, a joint venture between the Ammann Group of Switzerland and Apollo Group of India, showcased the latest technology products of the company during an in house exhibition - Tech-Xage 2014 at its facility in Ditasan near Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The exhibition was inaugurated by Nitin Bhai Patel, Minister of Roads & Buildings, Government of Gujarat. Senior members of Ammann group management and members on board of Ammann Apollo Rolf Jenny and Tomas Kopic and the Chairman of Apollo group Anilbhai Patel also graced the occasion. Hans Christian Schneider, CEO and member of Ammann family was present through the exhibition and interacted with the clients and underlined the presence of Ammann in India with a long term view. The company had installed and demonstrated their latest technology high-end, high-output asphalt batch mixing plant ? Ammann Uniglobe UG 260 with provision to add 30 per cent RAP + 100 T hot mix silo with a live control station for AS 1 controls, at the venue which turned out to be the piece de resistance of the exhibition. Ammann Uniglobe UG260 is a top technology asphalt batch mix plant built to European standards of quality and safety. The plant uses the core components made in Switzerland to ensure the finest quality and the entire plant is manufactured strictly to Ammann global design and specifications and has been certified for its quality by Ammann experts. The plant offers highest productivity, low maintenance and operating costs, energy efficiency and is a future ready plant with provisions for future retro fitment of different add on facilities like fibre addition, foam asphalt, hot RAP etc.

The exhibition also showcased the latest range of compaction equipment - single-drum rollers ASC 121 / ASC 122, articulated tandem roller AV 110X, and pneumatic tyred roller model AP240. Live demonstrations were conducted and the customers were given an opportunity to get hands on experience of the compactors.

The company organised a technical seminar on asphalt technology and Ammann Uniglobe UG 260 on all the days. Rolf Jenny - Member of Ammann Group management and member of board Ammann Apollo India with other experts from Ammann, Switzerland Peter Maurer, Michael Halada and Dharmesh Mashru, CEO, Asphalt Plant Business, Ammann Apollo India made presentations on the latest technologies in asphalt covering a wide range of topics like warm asphalt, RAP, foam bitumen, coal burners. The presentations were followed by lively interactive sessions with the customers.

Informative presentations were made on green technologies like foam asphalt to save fuel and reduce carbon footprint, various technologies for processing recycled asphalt pavements and their relevance for Indian conditions, Ammann plant controls as1 and several useful modules like Eco view to monitor and optimise energy consumption by plant, quality reports to monitor and ensure good quality of asphalt mix production etc. Similarly, technical presentations on compacting equipment were held every day. Key features of Ammann design of compactor range were explained in details over other manufacturers.

A separate stall for the spare parts, highlighting the Ammann ?Amdurit? spares, demonstrated the importance the company places on after-market support. The customers had the opportunity to see the facilities of Ammann Apollo and get a first-hand feel of the high standards of manufacturing processes and quality control adopted by the company.

The Tech-Xage was a well-attended event with over 95 visitors comprising of owners, CEOs, technical personnel of the majority of the key customers in India as well as from the neighbouring countries, gracing the event. The visitors were quite impressed by the products and technology exhibited.
