Schwing Stetter India won the ‘Trainer of the Year 2021’ award during the 9th edition of the Equipment India Awards – a calendar event for all construction equipment industry stalwarts – held this year on October 22 at Four Seasons, Mumbai. The awards are organised by ÆßÃõ¼º½, the largest circulated construction equipment magazine in India. VG Sakthi Kumar, Managing Director of Schwing Stetter India, received the award on behalf of the company.
The 9th edition of Equipment India Awards was part of the 7th INDIA CONSTRUCTION FESTIVAL (ICF) organised by FIRST COUNSTRUCTION COUNCIL (FCC), an infrastructure think-tank set up in 2003, focused on providing latest updates on the construction industry in India, and dedicated to promoting its causes and needs. FCC provides a platform to promote the adoption of best practices and to be the torchbearer for all policy initiatives that are needed to enhance the importance and welfare of the construction industry and the industry’s unified voice.
During the year, the trainings provided by Schwing Stetter include operator training school, customer training at site, customer training at factory, customer training online, online training on specific tech subjects, internal training for service personnel and dealer training. The total number of people trained during the year 2020 was 3317 and in the year 2021 is 1068.
The company had certified 2,969 participants in the year 2020 and 2021 put together (410 alone in 2021). All these were certified under the RPL 4 scheme and were absorbed into their respective companies formally.
In the year 2021, Schwing Stetter has spent around Rs 1.20 crore for training establishment, which includes training cost, new facility setup at its global manufacturing hub and cost of procuring simulators from China.
Trainer of the Year award
THE ÆßÃõ¼º½ TRAINER OF THE YEAR award was instituted for the first time this year. Out of all the nominations received for the award, the jury handpicked this awardee from a list of nominees.
The jury picked Schwing Stetter India as the EI Trainer of the Year 2021.
The 9th ÆßÃõ¼º½ AWARDS 2021 was presented by Apollo Tyres; with Platinum Partner as Timken; Gold Partner - Larsen & Toubro; Silver Partner: Gulf Oil; Associate Partners - Action Construction Equipment, L&T Construction & Mining Machinery, JSW Steel, Sany India; Association Partner: Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers' Association; and Knowledge Partner - Off-Highway Research.
