Elofic Industries is one of the most reputed and renowned automotive filter manufacturing companies in the country. Established in 1951, the company has five modern filter manufacturing facilities, three at Faridabad in Haryana, fourth at Hosur in Tamil Nadu and the fifth at Nalagarh in Himachal Pradesh. After the successful marketing of its lubricating oils and greases, the company set up its own state-of-the-art oil blending unit at Faridabad in July 2012. It also markets long life engine coolants and silicon gaskets for engines. The company has an R&D centre at Faridabad recognised by the Government of India recognised, and equipped with the latest testing and calibration equipment. Its corporate office is at Faridabad with 15 marketing offices, along with about 1,000 distributors and 30,000 retailers spread throughout the country.

Elofic has been a pioneer in the quality movement. It obtained the ISO:9002 Certification in 1995, was among the first 10 companies in India to be awarded the QS:9000 Certificate in 1997 and upgraded its ISO:9002 Certification to 9001 in 2000. Subsequently, it was the first filter company to be awarded the TS 16949:2002 Certificate in 2004. Thereafter, it was the first filter company to be awarded the ISO:9001 certificate for all its branch offices for marketing across the country. In between, it won the Rajiv Gandhi Award for Quality in 1998 and the ACMA Quality Award in 1999. The Chairman, MS Sahni, received the All India Best Entrepreneur award in the Medium Industry category for 2007. The company is presently certified for ISO/TS 16949:2009, OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 14001:2004.

Elofic is a household name in the domestic automobile filter market and supplies filters to most domestic OEMs. It is the preferred vendor for Tatas, Mahindras and Maruti. It has co-branding arrangements with Mahindra & Mahindra. Elofic has many reputed OEM customers in the international market. It is recognised as an Export House by the Government of India. It expects to ramp up its lubricants business with the recent inauguration of its in-house oil blending unit. While it has been exporting two-wheeler filters to the American and European markets for Honda and Suzuki applications for a long period, it has recently ventured into the domestic segment. Its domestic products include a wide range of filter elements, plastic moulded air filters and foam filters for all two-wheeler applications of Hero, Suzuki, TVS, Royal Enfield and HMSI vehicles. It aims to build a network of 100 distributors for this segment all over the country, while offering high-end products to its customers. Being a reputed player in the filter market with high quality products, the company is bullish on its lubricating oils and domestic two-wheeler plans.

Elofic has been increasing its in-house metal working capabilities by the addition of heavy duty power and hydraulic presses. It has been streamlining its processes to ensure improved quality and efficiency of its products. With increasing infrastructure demands, the company launched filters for construction, earthmoving and industrial filter segments in Excon 2013 exhibition in Bengaluru . This will add a new range of products to its portfolio. It plans on setting up an ultra modern filter plant in Gujarat in the near future. With industry-friendly infrastructure in that state, it hopes to increase the range, capacity and quality of these products.
