Krishnapatnam Port unveils centralised control centre
Krishnapatnam Port on the east coast of India has established a centralised state-of-the-art Command and Control Centre. Hansraj Gangaram Ahir, Minister of State for ÆßÃõ¼º½ Affairs, visited the port to inaugurate the facility. The Command Centre uses the latest technologies to monitor port security and operations. Equipped with several screens, the centre displays information on a real-term basis which includes port channel and berth activity, port railway sidings activity, warehouse stock information, RFID (related truck movement container vessel throughput) and advance vehicle tracking system among others.
