Hyunsoo of Doosan: Companies are making strides toward sustainability
Doosan Bobcat India, a subsidiary of the Global Doosan Bobcat business was established in the year 2007. Doosan Bobcat India has recently invested to acquire a 21-acres sprawling facility in the outskirts of Chennai to manufacture backhoe loaders for catering to the domestic market in India which is currently the world's largest market for backhoe loaders.

Speaking on the customer-centric process in the company, Hyunsoo Kim, MD and CEO, Doosan Bobcat India, said, “Customer centricity being the fulcrum, Doosan Bobcat India introduced B900 CEV stage IV backhoe loaders for the Indian market in 2021. With the rising market demand for advanced machinery and the enhancement in technologies due to mandates to adapt to newer emission norms, the associated cost for such advancements is borne by customers.â€

He added, “Doosan Bobcat with its customer-centric approach ensures the Made in India Bobcat backhoe loaders paybacks customers with value addition right at the product design level. For instance, the B900 backhoe loader comes with a highly fuel-efficient Ashok Leyland engine, besides the largest fuel tank in its class, coupled with 10 per cent better fuel efficiency to ensure an approximate 40 hours of uninterrupted work giving us a competitive edge of around 12 hours. So once the tank is filled, the machine idle time is also relatively reduced to avoid refuelling.â€
