Ketur Shah is the promoter of Spare Part Connection, a company that deals with all kinds of earthmoving spares and bearings. Joined the business 18 months back, Shah has done Masters in Technology Entrepreneurship from University College London. The basic course structure taught him how to integrate technology in the day-to-day working of the business to convert a small scale start up to a large scale business. Earthmoving industry being a very unorganized sector with numerous small private players, he faced many challenges in day-to-day working where he had to decode part numbers to bearing numbers, work with broken samples and identify the right bearings, find bearings based on approximate dimensions or just applications. He has been successfully overcoming these challenges over the years.

Shah has developed a knowledge bank over the years which include all the bearings replacements, application wise bearing numbers, which helps the company serve its customers with their requirements easily.

The construction equipment sector was experiencing a slow performance since last few years, but with the new stable government at both the Centre and state, Shah feels a boom in construction equipment industry as the infrastructure development will increase at a faster pace, large scale projects will get cleared easily and also mining and other activities are expected to resume because of the new policies.
